STEM Education Incubator (SEI)

PING studentDo you have a great idea to improve STEM education but lack fund development experience or resources to manage a large award?

SEI may be what you’re looking for!

Individuals and smaller organizations often have great ideas but can lack the experience to develop competitive funding proposals, and the expertise on staff to deal with complicated financial rules associated with managing large awards; the STEM Education Incubator (SEI) can help!

SEI brings together expertise in STEM education, fund development, and fiscal management to create an “umbrella” initiative under which individuals, organizations, and teams can successfully develop and manage innovative and transformative projects in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math education or STEM.

Who can participate?  SEI is uniquely designed to meet the needs of individuals, midsized and smaller STEM related organizations, and schools (Pre-K through college) interested in improving STEM Education.

What’s the cost?  There is no cost for projects developed directly under the SEI. AUI provides expert consulting to assist with development of the funding proposal(s). Fees for projects that choose not to come under the SEI umbrella, and STEM program evaluation and improvement efforts for schools and other STEM related organizations will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

Why should I join the SEI? AUI has successfully managed multifaceted STEM related projects here in the U.S. and internationally for more than 50 years. Partnering your innovative ideas with expertise in project development and management can be a win-win for everyone involved.

To see if your project is a good fit for SEI, please contact the our STEM Education Development Officer Tim Spuck at tspuck@aui.edu or 202-462-1676.
